We would like to invite you to join Health Today, a brand new student organization aimed at providing information on current events and issues related to the health professions. For those of you who are pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy or pre-veterinary, this is a great opportunity to discover if there are any topics that you would be interested in pursuing in your future careers and to prepare for research experience, internships, and admissions applications. For anyone interested, this organization will also provide you with boundless leadership opportunities, as you have the chance to be founding members and potentially founding leaders. Best of all, we understand you all have tough classes and busy schedules, and we will do our best to make sure the organization requires a minimal time commitment from you while providing you with as many benefits as possible.
By becoming a member of Health Today, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Plan university wide events, which will provide you with the
necessary leadership, communication, organization, and initiative
skill sets so heavily desired in every industry and profession. Our
first event will be regarding the current health care system and
proposed health care reform, followed by possible events regarding
admissions processes, pharmaceutical companies, and insurance
companies.
2. Access vital information pertaining to the current challenges
and events facing the health professions through bi-monthly emails of
events occurring in the surrounding area
3. Network with your professors and trailblazers in relevant fields
of interests, which will allow you to lay the path for future career
options
4. Go on field trips to various state-of-the-art facilities
5. Get advice from older students regarding classes, research
experience, etc

We hope that you will be able to email us as soon as possible, and preferably before Monday, February 8th. Also, if you are interested in a leadership positions, when you email us back the application please indicate which positions you would be interested in as well as any qualifications you believe you
may have. You may be asked to an informal interview soon after. Some of the positions we have available include: VP of Marketing, VP of External Communication (Website), and numerous Event Committee Chair positions.
