**The first three weeks of the summer program will take place here at the El Camino College Compton Center and the remaining three weeks will take place at Cal Poly Pomona.
*Residential advisors will be required to commute to the Compton Center and Cal Poly Pomona. Room and board will be paid for Cal Poly Pomona + $2300 Stipend.
Requirements:
Rising junior, senior, or graduate student currently enrolled in college and in good academic standing.
2.5 GPA or higher.
Matriculating college students (juniors, seniors and graduate students preferred) with some tutoring/counseling experience working with low-income and/or culturally diverse students
Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of high school students
Must have excellent English and/or mathematics skills
Ability to tutor students in at least one of the following subject areas: literature and composition, mathematics, science, computer science, or spanish
Must be highly energetic.
