USC HCBC Presents CEO of L.A. Care Health Plan, Howard A. Kahn

Interested in meeting a Health Care executive and learning about his experiences in the industry? Howard Kahn is the CEO of L.A.Care Health Plan, the nation’s largest public health plan with nearly 800,000 enrolled members. Under Howard’s leadership, L.A. Care is known for developing innovative coalitions and partnerships that support public health, the health care safety net, and health coverage for vulnerable populations.
WHAT: Lecture and one on one discussion with Howard A. Kahn, CEO of L.A. Care Health Plan.
Howard has actively led efforts by L.A. Care to reinvest $80 million into improving community health, with a special emphasis on strengthening L.A.’s safety net. He is a key architect of the Children’s Health Initiative of Greater Los Angeles (CHI), a coalition of 50+ diverse organizations dedicated to providing health coverage for low-income children in L.A. County who are not eligible for existing government programs.
