August 16) summer field‑course on Guam and Palau. The purpose of this
experience is to introduce students to ecosystem management tools used
to investigate complex environmental problems in marine and coastal
environments. Students will examine a variety of historical,
cultural, and scientific topics (e.g., environmental effects of
warfare, anthropological history, coral reef management, political and
social systems), as well as participate in field trips on land and in
the water. Course participants will be provided intensive training in

Trustee and Presidential Scholars should be aware that the application
deadline for Exceptional Funding is Friday, March 10. Other students
