Wright State University GRAD-PREP Graduate Research Education Preparation Program

The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine offers a one year post-baccalaureate graduate school preparation program, GRAD-PREP, for students with undergraduate degrees in biomedical sciences, biology and life sciences, biomedical engineering and biobehavioral studies/psychology. Our program provides research and academic training in the biomedical/biobehavioral sciences for students from underrepresented minority groups who are interested in pursuing graduate degrees. The 2010 GRAD-PREP program begins July 19, 2010.

GRAD-PREP scholars participate in projects with Wright State University and Boonshoft School of Medicine faculty covering a wide spectrum of activities. The areas of focus are Genetics/Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Genetics/Epidemiology, Behavior/Human Factors and Integrative Biology/Toxicology. In addition, they will receive guidance through the PhD program selection and application process and will enhance their skills in GRE preparation workshops and mock interviews. GRAD-PREP scholars earn an annual salary of $21,000 with full benefits, including health insurance.
