Commencement 2010
Information for graduating USC College students
Congratulations USC College Seniors!!
Commencement is three weeks away! The College Special Events Office would like to make sure that you are aware of the following information. This information and more can also be found at college.usc.edu/information-graduates/. For Satellite specific information, please click on the appropriate link below.
Satellite Ceremony Rehearsals
A short walk-through of each satellite ceremony will take place Commencement week at the respective ceremony location. We encourage you to attend so that you may understand your role and positioning in the ceremony. The date and time for each site is listed below:
- Group 1 (Humanities): Thursday, 5/13 at 10:00 am – Howard Jones Field
- Group 2 (Sciences): Thursday, 5/13 at 11:30 am – Lot 6
- Group 3 (IR, Political Science, History): Thursday, 5/13 at 2:00 pm – Shrine Auditorium
- Group 4 (Social Sciences): Wednesday, 5/12 at 12:00 pm – Alumni Park
Summary of Commencement Day
8:00 am – Students line-up for the main ceremony in Alumni Park, click here for line-up points for the main ceremony
8:30 am – Main ceremony begins
10:10 am – Main ceremony ends, students go directly to the Satellite Ceremony
10:45am – Groups 1 & 2 Ceremonies begin
11:00 am – Groups 3 & 4 Ceremonies begin
12:00-12:30pm – Satellite Ceremonies end
Reception Locations
All College departments hold a reception immediately following the Satellite Ceremonies for graduates and their families. Please visit the College Commencement website for reception locations: http://college.usc.edu/department-receptions/
Photography
Three photographs will be taken of each graduate during the ceremony. Proofs will be emailed within 24 hours. For more information please visit: www.bobknightphoto.com
Videography
USC College satellite ceremonies are not videotaped, however the main Commencement ceremony in Alumni Park is videotaped. For more information about ordering a DVD of the main ceremony, please go to: http://www.usc.edu/dept/pubrel/specialevents/commencement/dvd.php
Cap and Gown
Regalia is available beginning April 28th through noon on May 14th at the University Bookstore. Ordering, measurement and distribution of regalia will take place on the 3rd floor of the Bookstore.

Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday, May 15, 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Bachelor’s Degree (Cap and Gown only) $39.99
Master’s Degree (Cap, Gown and Hood) $49.99
