MALARIA: The deadliest disease of all time, has killed more people than any other disease and is still crippling nations with nearly a million deaths per year. Malaria costs Africa an estimated 12 billion dollars in productivity every year. The good news is, we can end it.
The United Nations has teamed up with Nothing But Nets to show our world leaders that we care about this issue so they continue to support full funding of malaria prevention and treatment to achieve this goal. On April 24th, thousands of Americans across the US, are gathering so that we can provide bed nets for people in need.
This Saturday, April 24th 2010 @ 6 PM at McAlister will be a huge event with guest speakers, bands, and a video documentary attended by caring citizens from around LA County. Those who want to raise awareness and political mobilization for this cause may also sleep out at McAlister that evening (although that will not be required to enjoy the events). This Sleep Out is the turning point. Be a part of ending the deadliest disease on the planet. Tell your friends!

You may direct any questions to me. Also, I would be more than happy to distribute DVDs for those interested in learning more about this cause. Please let me know if you, or anyone else in HCBC, would like more information.
Best wishes,
David
