"Volunteer in Tanzania teaching HIV Prevention"
Support for International Change is an non-governmental organization working with communities in rural northern Tanzania, serving populations that would otherwise have minimal access to HIV services. Their staff maintains long-term relationships with local leaders and ensures that our programs support the Tanzania government’s capacity to combat HIV. College students and recent grads from around the country can volunteer through SIC where they would live in villages with a family and promote awareness about the epidemic for 8 weeks in the summer or 12 weeks in the fall.
Applications are due April 15th for the summer program, which runs from May 20th to July 14th. More information can be found at www.sichange.org. Tanzania is a beautiful country, and this program is truly an amazing, life-changing experience. If anyone is interested, please look into the program and feel free to email me with any questions!
Thanks,
