SEA Semester at Woods Hole has very limited space available for our Summer Session program, which accepts a maximum of 27 students. If you are aware of students looking for an intensive field-based summer experience, please let them know about this opportunity. Details are listed below.
- June 1 - July 26, 2010
- 4-week shore component on campus in Woods Hole, Massachusetts
- 4-week open ocean research cruise from Honolulu to San Francisco
- 12 credits through Boston University
- Open to all majors
- Coursework in oceanography, oceanographic research, maritime studies, and nautical science
- All students design and carry out an individual oceanographic research project
For many humanities and social science students, SEA Semester provides the only hands-on encounter with scientific methods and collaborative research of their undergraduate careers. Similarly, SEA Semester offers science majors an unusual opportunity to place scientific inquiry in the larger context of culture, society, and technology.
Please direct students to www.sea.edu or have them contact admission@sea.edu with any questions.
