Summer EMT Course at USC

We have scheduled an EMT class that is going to take place in classrooms at USC over summer break. I have attached a flyer as well as the registration form that students must fill out to register for the class.
Once the registration form is complete students should contact us at EMSCmail@gmail.com so we can set up a time for them to turn in the form. As the form says, we will not be accepting personal checks and will only be able to accept money order, cashiers check (made payable to UC Regents) or credit card for the payment.
To take the class students also need to provide proof of the following things. These do not need to be turned in when students register but must be turned prior to the first day of class or you will not be able to complete the course.

  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within the last 3 months
  • Current MMR immunization or titer
  • Current chicken pox immunization or titer
  • Proof of Hepatitis-B vaccine
  • A note from a physician on official letterhead saying you can participate in the clinical portion of the program
  • Proof of medical insurance
The class will be from 9am-6p and will run 8/2 – 8/21, Monday to Saturday the first week, Monday to Friday the second week, Monday to Saturday the final week. The CPR portion would be on the first day, 8/2, Final Testing would be Saturday 8/21.
The class will cost $1103.25 per student. This includes $984 EMT course fee, $65 for CPR, $54.25 for the Textbook/supplement.
There is an optional $35/student fee for academic credit (7.0 semester units) via West Los Angeles Community college. You can then apply to transfer this credit to USC.
We will be registering students for the class and the deadline to register is July 2nd. All fees must be paid in full by this July 2nd date to hold a spot. Spots will be filled on a first come first serve basis so please let us know if you would like to register for the course.
The maximum enrollment for the class is 36 students.
