Hello present and future scientists!
Are you a researcher in a lab looking for more undergraduate involvement? Are you an undergraduate future-scientist eager to gain more hands-on research experience?
If so, then listen up!
The Graduate Women in Biology (GWiB) and the Female Undergraduates Educating and Leading in Science (FUELS) are teaming up to provide a dialogue between graduate research scientists and undergraduates eager for research experience.
On Wednesday, 28 April, we will hold an evening workshop (with Dinner!) with the aim of fostering better collaboration between Undergraduate science majors and our illustrious Research programs. The workshop is open to all (but RSVP is required).
What: Strengthening the link between Graduate and Undergraduate Research at USC.
When: Wednesday, 28 April, 5-8pm
Where: RRI 421
Talks, Discussion, Dinner and Poster Session!
We are soliciting for participation, in three main forms:
* Graduate students (or post-docs) in research labs that incorporate undergrad research and would be willing to speak for ~5 minutes on their lab's research.
* Stand-out undergrads working in your lab who can give a quick overview of how they joined your lab and what they've been up to.
* Graduate AND Undergraduate students who can participate in a Poster Session that evening. Recycling of posters that have been prepared for previous meetings is strongly encouraged!
If you are willing to help us make this a really fruitful discussion, or just want to attend please indicate your interest in the link below:
