“Deconstructing Cellular Complexity
for Disorders of the Nervous System”
The CNS contains remarkable cellular diversity, yet disorders of the nervous system can be due to disruptions of single cell types or circuits. We have developed methodology that allows the examination of the in vivo translational profiling of genetically targeted cell types rapidly, accurately, and reproducibly. We have now characterized the profiles of dozens of cell populations in the CNS, and show how this approach can yield insight for neurogenetic disorders such as autism.
