Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship

The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship program’s purpose is to encourage outstanding
students to pursue careers in mathematics, the natural sciences, or engineering
and to foster excellence in those fields. The Foundation will award
undergraduate scholarships to outstanding students in the Spring of 2010 for use
during the 2010-2011 academic year. To be considered, a student must be
nominated by USC. USC may nominate a maximum of four candidates for the
Goldwater Scholarships. The School of Engineering and the College of Letters,
Arts and Sciences will each nominate two students for this award.

In 2008, two out of the four nominees from USC (College majors) were both
selected as Goldwater scholarship recipients.
