How can we make our neighborhood better? Do we have enough local parks, businesses, and sufficient access to public transportation? How can we create more opportunity in this neighborhood? If you're interested in community development, join local residents and community leaders to plan an equitable, sustainable, and thriving neighborhood. Form innovative partnerships, take part in the historic Visions for Vermont Community plan, & design and advocate for the neighborhood of your dreams - through community planning exercises, simulations, and discussions about the Visions for Vermont Community Plan initiative - led by the Figueroa Corridor Coalition, a group of 25 local neighborhood organizations. Free Mexican Food! Come with an open mind and an open heart!
WHEN & WHERE: NOVEMBER 14th, 10:30 AM, St. Agnes Church (2625 S Vermont Ave, Corner of Vermont and Adams).
COSPONSORS: Figueroa Corridor Coalition for Economic Justice, USC GRUF Residential Community, Campus and Community United.
