I wanted to inform you of an amazing opportunity for the students of your departments who are interested in forensic science. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department (LASD), in collaboration with the C-BEEP college internship program, has re-opened the Forensic Science Internship at the Hertzberg-Davis Forensic Science Center (Crime Lab). LASD is looking for exceptional biology, chemistry, or biochemistry students for this highly competitive internship. We would like to encourage students in your respective departments to apply for this internship opportunity. Former interns have been hired permanently as Forensic Lab Technicians for the crime lab after their internships, so this is an excellent opportunity for those undergraduate and graduate students in the biological and natural sciences interested in forensic science to gain practical experience working in a state-of-the-art crime lab.
This is a highly competitive internship so I would encourage those students interested to apply as soon as possible. Information about the application process can be found on our website, http://dhr.lacounty.info/CBEEP.asp .
If you have any questions, please contact Rodney Hoston at (213) 639-6323 or at rhoston@hr.lacounty.gov. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from the exceptional students at your school.
