I would like to inform you of the Trojan Health Volunteers program, a well-established medical volunteer program through the Joint Educational Project that offers pre-health students a chance to volunteer in one of several Los Angeles area hospitals/clinics.
Sign-ups for the program are on a first-come first-served basis. Keep in mind that there are a limited amount of spaces, and spots usually fill up by the first day! If you are interested, please come to the JEP office on the first day of the fall semester (8/23). We highly recommend that you stop by the JEP house as early as you can (the office opens at 7:30 am).
Requirements
- Must be at least a sophomore
- Volunteer at a hospital or clinic for a minimum of 4 hours/week for a total of 10 weeks
- Attend 5 discussion group meetings
- Write 5 reflective journals
