GlobeMed is a network of university students which aim to strengthen the movement for global health equality by empowering students and communities to work together in improving the health of the impoverished around the world. We partner directly with grassroots health organizations around the world working in underserved communities: funding effective projects that help them achieve their missions and serving internationally alongside them. We hold weekly meetings on campus to learn and discuss today's global health issues as well as raise funds to support our partner organization. We also plan on-site trips to visit our partner, GROW (Grassroots On-Site Work), and contribute our time locally to the Los Angeles community.
